Salt Creek Campground

Last weekend we hiked up a hill next to Salt Creek Campground. It was quite a hike uphill, but the view is well worth it, along the way and at the top. If you decide to do this hike, I highly recommend a bug spray, as I was attacked by mosquitoes. This is the site of an old WWII post, the Americans were waiting for the Japanese to attack the Northwest Coast, and several forts like this one were created in anticipation of the attack.

Olympic Mountains

Hurricane Hill hike from Hurricane Ridge. This is a short 2 mile hike on a paved trail, but fairly steep in some parts. The view once on the ridge is unbelievable and well worth the hike.

Shi Shi Beach

Shi Shi Beach in Neah Bay. To get to Shi Shi beach, drive past Cape Flattery (Most North Western point in the continental U.S.) and to the Shi Shi Beach access parking lot. Right now the trail is very muddy, but pretty flat. This is a two mile hike from the parking lot, but the view is well worth it.
