Something I didn't talk about in my last post was my new faith in Jesus as Saviour and becoming a Christian. It's a rather long story, but the end conclusion is that God has placed me here on earth to glorify His Name. What better way to do that than express his nature through [insert God given gift here] photography.

So, to make a really long story short, I got involved in the mission field with my local church. The first mission I went on was just a few weeks ago and it took me to the Philippines. Filipinos are wonderful people and very hospitable. There are more stories than I have time to tell about the hospitality of Filipinos. Anyway, it was an awesome time and changed my outlook on life. Another first was the amount of video I shot. I took five hours of video over the course of ten days. Adding to the video are over 1600 photos (this is actually quite a few less than I was planning but it has a lot to do with time dedicated to taking video).

I'll try to follow up here with a few stories, photos, and info on other photographers that inspired me.
